The 1803 is one of Rolex’s earliest Day-Date references, and yet it is known for several “last’s” in the historic model - including the last reference to utilise an acrylic crystal before it was replaced with sapphire, and the very attractive use of the so-called “pan-pie” dial, meaning it dips around its circumference.

It is debated how it gained its nickname of the Rolex “President”, as it has been a favourite of multiple US presidents over the years - presented to Eisenhower in the 50s by Rolex themselves or owned by 60s legends JFK and Marilyn Monroe…

This example is presented in excellent condition throughout, it defies its age! With an immaculate dial, sharp case and excellent timekeeping. A perfect one-watch collection candidate, especially if you were born in 1970!
